Welcome to the Federated Church web site.   We're glad you stopped by.  I'd like to tell you about this unique Christian community.

Who We Are:  We are two churches that decided to join together with a common worship and program in the late 1940's.  We cooperate with and support the mission of our two denominations, the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the American Baptist Churches.  Individually, we claim a wide variety of faith backgrounds.  Together, we are a people that are working to reach up to God through worship, Bible study and prayer.  And, we are a people working to reach out to others by caring for the greater community and for each other with the love of Christ.

What We Do:  We are known as a church that is active in the community. 

• We support and volunteer to help with local ministries to assist those in need. 

• We currently own a house that is used for transitional housing for those who are trying to better themselves in life. 

• We reach out as individuals in a wide range of fund raising efforts and ministries to help the community as a whole. 

• We are supportive of Blackburn College and are proud of the church's traditional connection to the school through a common founder.

Our Vision:  Currently, we are pursuing a vision of "becoming evangelistic through relevant ministries of spiritual growth and community service."  We are looking at new ways to reach out to others and to ourselves with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. 

We wish to make all that we are and do "friendly" to newcomers and to people seeking spiritual growth.
